Sound Beach Fire Department Sings Christmas Carols At Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Convent
On December 11, the Sound Beach Fire Department brought some holiday cheer to the Sisters at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Convent by performing Christmas carols.
With one person dressed as Santa Claus, and another donning an inflatable gingerbread man costume, the carolers sang classics including “The First Noel,” “Oh Holy Night” and “Frosty the Snowman.”
“What Child is This?” was led by the Sisters, who knew the song's tune better. The carolers jumped in during the second half of the jingle before leading everyone into “Deck the Halls.”
The Sisters joined in on all the songs, sitting in a semi-circle around the carolers in the festively decorated community room. Behind the group from the fire department were a bunch of red stockings and an ornament-clad Christmas tree, complete with a shiny gold star on top.
The carolers exited the event to the tune of “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” while exchanging holiday well-wishes.
